I am cycling my way home after my tuitions. Just before Arasaradi, I see wailing women.
I see seething men .I see hungry bulldozers mowing down lifeless tents and roofless huts I also see a young girl in rags, tying her money plant (which she possibly grew in her hut) to the pedestal of a street lamp which stands right next to the place where her hut once stood.
I reach home .I notice the latest issue of Kumudham lying on the dining table. I flip through the pages and I find this wonderful poem, which is a searing portrayal of an image that I helplessly witnessed, perched on a ramshackle Hercules bicycle few moments ago.

Imagine stepping out of the Zurich Airport and seeing posters which read -

Conference lobbies , Shuttle buses ,Bill boards - nothing was spared .
It was "India everywhere" literally !
The 5 million dollar "India everywhere" publicity campaign aimed at wooing foreign investors organised by CII at the Davos jamboree is claimed to be a super success .

Imagine Kamalnath,India Brand equity foundation ,PC and CII sitting together over Chai & Vadapav in Lutyen's Delhi to discuss a promotional campaign for India to be launched at World Economic Forum !!!

That deserves a big WOW .We seem to be getting our act together -finally !

'Rang De Basanti ' unplugged

Rang De Basanti , slated for release on January 20, delves into the lives of five friends led by Aamir Khan, who are hired by a young London-based filmmaker (played by Alice Patten), to help her shoot a documentary on Indian revolutionaries during the freedom movement.
Somewhere along the way, the film turns to a MiG-21 crash, in which Flight-Lieutenant Ajay Rathod, played by actor Madhavan, is killed. The film portrays lives of young pilots, the risks they undertake while flying and hardship their families undergo after untimely deaths of officers in crashes. The movie also alludes to the neta-babu nexus in finalising murky but lucrative defence deals, with the requisite kickbacks playing a role. The defence minister, in reel life, blames the MiG-21 crash on "human error". This angers Rathod’s friends, led by Aamir Khan, who then give up their bohemian lifestyles and become concerned citizens probing the death of their friend. They eventually shoot the defence minister dead and then announce it on radio for the country to hear.
